The European Championship traditionally gets the best out of certain players. Stars are born at football’s biggest stage, and when it comes to quality football, there is none better than the Euros. The coming Euro 2024 is lined to be one of the best ones, and there are many players that we see as players to watch and keep a close eye on as they might easily develop into breakout performers.
Jude Bellingham (England)
The England Euro 2024 squad includes a lot of players that may light up the tournament. While Harry Kane sounds like an obvious pick, the player to watch in the Three Lions jersey is Jude Bellingham. This is not his first major tournament but will be the first one where he plays a major role for his team.
After the season he has been having with Real Madrid, he should carry much of the load for Gareth Southgate’s team. If they happen to win, Jude will most likely be their star performer.
Lamine Yamal (Spain)
Lamine Yamal will probably be one of the youngest Euro 2024 players. At only 16 years of age during the tournament. He might not be asked to carry most of the load for Spain. But the way he has been playing for Barca in recent games, he is more than capable of carrying himself even against some very senior defenders.
Yamal might not get a chance to start, but he will surely be given a chance at some point. Spain is playing in the toughest out of all Euro 2024 groups. If Yamal proves himself against the likes of Croatia and Italy, Spain will have another golden boy on their hands.
Jamal Musiala (Germany)
As Euro 2024 hosts, Germany will be looking to get back to the top of European football. After failing to produce any significant results at some of the recent major tournaments, Die Elf will be poised to do so on home soil. Leading the charge for their team will be Jamal Musiala.
Musiala has already been a proven member of the team, with 27 appearances and two goals for his national side. But if Germany are to make a major result at the Euros, someone has to step up. This is definitely time for Musiala to show how much he is worth. Also, whether he can produce for Germany in the same manner that he can for Bayern Munich.
Rasmus Højlund (Denmark)
Out of all the Premier League players to watch at the Euros, Rasmus Højlund deserves a significant spot. He may have had a spotty season with Man Utd. But he is an entirely different animal when he plays for his national team. He made 12 appearances for the Danish Dynamite and scored seven goals. So he should be the number one scoring option for Kasper Hjulmand’s side.
Out of all players to watch EPL, Højlund is one of the youngest competitors. He will definitely be the most motivated when playing against England. He will be going up against a lot of players he usually plays against on a regular basis.
