The new La Liga season is about to begin, and fans are thirsty for new games, shows, but also new players. Some players’ transfer market value went up after Euro 2024, and the atmosphere is getting hotter.
The summer transfer window for the season 2024/25 is still open. Based on the latest scouting reports, some of the best teams in La Liga have already made some great transfers.
Pau Victor From Girona to Barcelona
Pau Victor is actually the first Barcelona transfer in this window. This Spanish player was part of Barca Athletic, also known as Barcelona B. But officially, Victor was Girona’s player.
Girona agreed to let this young footballer go for a smaller fee of £2.11 million. Victor’s contract will last for a few seasons. Both Catalan clubs will have equal rights to this player in the first, whereas Barcelona will have 70% rights in the second season.
Robin Le Normand From Real Sociedad to Atl. Madrid
Another move in the latest La Liga football transfers is Le Normand’s signing for Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard plays centre-back. He strengthened the Spanish defensive line at Euro 2024 and helped them win the title.
Atl. Madrid paid £29.14 million for this player. Le Normand, who is 27 and has extensive experience. He played a key role in Real Socidad’s 2020 Copa Del Rey victory.
Endrick From Palmeiras to Real Madrid
Real Madrid has recognised Endrick’s talent even a few years back. It was late 2022, but the official transfer couldn’t have been made as Endrick was then a minor. On 21 July 2024, this young Brazilian turned 18 and finally joined Los Blancos.
Completing one of the most expensive transfers in La Liga in this part of the summer window was a dream come true for Endrick. He even burst into tears at his presentation in front of the huge crowd at Bernabeu.
Sergio Gomez From Man City to Real Sociedad
Sociedad may have lost Le Normand, but they quickly made one of the key La Liga transfers in this window. In other words, the Txuri-urdin brought Sergio Gomez from Man City.
The deal was worth around £8.44 million. Gomez was a regular part of the City’s squad two seasons prior to this one. As time passed by, Guardiola decided to leave out this Spanish player from the starting 11. Even though this was the case, Gomez paid tribute to his old club by praising Guardiola and his amazing skills and work.
Willy Kambwala from Man Utd to Villarreal
In mid-July, one of the trending La Liga transfers had Kambwala go to Villarreal. The Congolese and French played only around 10 matches for United in the last season. He got his chance after ten Hag struggled with injured centre-back players.
Yet, Kambwala refused to sign a new contract with the Red Devils. Villarreal grabbed this opportunity and brought him in for £4.63m, with potential add-ons that could go up to £9.68m. United also has a buy-back option for this footballer.
